Description:

Join Michelle Shea of Garden to Glass and Klean Kanteen for a fun and festive happy hour mixology snowshoe crawl!
This “”backcountry bartending”” event is very mellow in nature and designed for snowshoe enthusiasts of all ability levels AND/OR those interested in a festive time. Michelle is an absolute genius when it comes to backcountry cooking (and mixing drinks!) so come prepared to learn her tricks of the trade.

The group will meet at 5pm at the Tahoe XC yurt, whereby Michelle will provide some samples before heading out on the trails.

After a short snowshoe jaunt (1-2 miles) the group will come back to the yurt to warm up. Michelle will continue her samples and instruction. All participants will leave with a Klean Kanteen gift but must be 21-years-old to participate. ”

** Kindly disregard below language regarding avalanche safety protocol – this is not needed. **

Equipment Requirements:

  • Snowshoes
  • Insulated & Waterproof Footwear
  • Warm Clothing
  • Waterproof Outerlayers
  • Personal Items (food, water, sunscreen)

Sponsored by Klean Kanteen
Presented by Garden to Glass

*PLEASE NOTE! In the spirit of inclusivity we are limiting participants to four tours. This does not include workshops, Backcountry Basics, etc. Registration for most events requires a deposit, which varies from $25-$100, that is refunded upon participation. Cancellations are not allowed after February 1st and all calendar adjustments prior to February 1st are subject to a $10 adjustment fee. Any excess garnered from the cancellation policy will be donated to Protect Our Winters and the Tahoe Backcountry Alliance.

**Please also note that you will be sent a complete equipment list for each individual event by the middle of January. Additionally, if you have registered for any backcountry tour you will be contacted 72 hours prior to the tour with the exact location. This is irrelevant if your chosen tour stipulates a location, but for others we want to assess the snow and avalanche conditions for others closer to the event. The goal is to show you the best time possible which requires a decision closer to each tour.
